Sorry, I lost track of which car was who's :-)
A Lambda vehicle in which the Lambda is not working will not run very well. You should be able to hear the modulating valve buzzing, if not that is likely the trouble. An easy test is to pull the fuel pump relay out and jumper across the top and bottom terminals (the bottom one is 90 degrees out from the rest) - do this with the key off. You should hear both the fuel pump and the modulating valve. If it's buzzing, then just unplug the oxygen sensor and that forces the modulating system to a constant 50% duty cycle which is useful while you sort out other fuel system issues.
