Well, coolant in the oil certainly isn't normal, and it's usually caused by something that isn't so easy to fix, but to me none of this is all that difficult....except for the water pump which causes me anxiety. I recall taking the head into a machine shop for machining and a pressure test, so my issue wasn't a cracked head. I found my receipt from 2002 and it also says they machined the intake side of the head, so the corrosion must have been bad enough to be an issue. I can't seem to find any pictures of it though.
I guess you won't know until you do some investigating.
