I bought a WASO cap from UK Ebay a few years back. It was for an English car. I had a locking WASO Saab cap that the lock barrel had been messed with (bought off Ebay USA). Locksmith said it wasn't repairable, it needed a new barrel and key set. When the WASO cap arrived from the UK, I switched the end plates between the two. English car if I recall used three tabs for the gas filler tube, and Saab used two. Plates held on by two machine screws. Locking cap now says WASO not SAAB.
My 2 cents worth.
