update on front brakes

Thanks for the earlier tips. I do plan to rebuild these calipers sometime soon as per the instructions on DougM's site (very nice looking 99 by the way). Turns out my handbrake cables were way too tight, someone who didn't know how to set them up must have tightened up the cables ALOT. I reset them as per the Haynes manual.

I checked my Bentley for 900 16v, which I thought would cover the same girling brake set up (it appears to). They add a section on how to set the adjusters in these front brakes when changing pads, which the Haynes manual doesn't seem to mention. Should I now raise the handbrake 7 notches and then press on my front brakes several times to set them properly? They are now turning freely by hand, but I have not moved the car since reseting the brake cables.

And I might try installing my 900 alternator, unless I can find a replacement 99 voltage regulator easily, which seems to be the source of my charging woes.
