Looks like you may have an early C-900 4spd tranny. They used the same coding as your tranny from 79-83. From 84 on, the tranny numbers started with GM or GA.
The example they show in my 900 book is listed as G34401 >
G = type...G is for manual
3 = version (engine combination)
4 = number of forward gears
4 = primary gear ratio (number of teeth,input/output gear is 31/30 which gives it a gear ratio of 0.97)
01 = variant(stage of development)
The chart shows the number G34402, but I bet yours has the same gearing as that box.
