doesn't really sound like a problem with the fuel distributor. Is the fuel pump running? Just because you have fuel at the filter doesn't mean much unless it is coming out at high pressure. Pull the electrical plug(safety circuit) at the air flow sensor. Switch on the ignition and the pump will start running. If it doesn't run, check to make sure you have 12 volts at the pump, if you do, the pump is probably bad. If you don't, then the electrical problem may be in the relay, such as corroded or burnt contact in the fuse panel. Do those tests and report back.
