Doug, As stupid as my recent comments about ignoring factory interior procedures sounds, it is actually very sound advise.Sometimes you get yourself in a bit of a jam, but looking at it from logic usually is much better. Your tape measure method of disproving the 99 headliner is exactly what I usually do. The last time I gave that issue any thought, it was just a quick interior glance reguarding clearing the deck lid from the inside. I haven't had either of my seats down in my 99's for quite a while, and to be honest, forgot about that lip.Sometimes I've given mis-information on this board, only to corrected by a by the booker, more often it goes the other way. When I'm wrong about something I'll always admit it. I'll compliment you on your camera work again Doug. As I've said to you in the past, I'm very jealous of that. I'm firmly in the caves about a lot of things. I need to get a nice digital camera. Doug, do you realize just about the only good pictures of my 99's are the ones over at Karls'site? Pretty bad huh? By the way, next time you're at a yard, see how long it takes you to "practice" removing a 900 4 door headliner. Use the front seats as I've mentioned. You will see why I say it truly is a one man job. I bet you will have it out in 15 minutes without any damage. A "practice" install right after, will be the same. Leave both side pillar trims in place on removal as you slide the headliner towards the windshield to stop and rest on the seats. Pop one off on install, tuck the headliner into the remaining one, and install the center screw near the interior light. That is it. Use the seats as your second pair of hands as you guide the headliner to start position in as you begin re-install. The removal/install through the trunk requires a slight diagnal, and a gental squeeze on the corners...one side at a time. I've reduced the job from my 20 to 15 minutes for you based on the fact that your clearly neater than I am around a car. Anybody care to make a wager on this? (just kidding)
