Okay I am getting ready for a change.
The 99 has a 78 n/a installed with 78 CIS, Lambda, etc.
I got a hold of a 76 fuel distributor, for the bigger plate.
The injectors and regulator are recently replaced with good used.
Sometimes the car runs great, but sometimes it's sluggish.
I also have the hot start problem,
even with the starter getting direct power
I need to double check that the 5th injector isn't leaking,
but I am pretty sure the distributor is sticking intermittently.
So please verify my plan:
Disconnect lambda and 5th injector, leaving Cat in place for now.
Hook 5th injector to manual switch.
Install A/F gauge directly to oxygen sensor w/o lambda.
Install 76 distributor.
Using a fuel and a A/F gauge I should be able to set the mixture right?
Then I'll use the A/F gauge to maually thottle the 5th injector.
I know I'll need to fabricate fuel lines.
Will I need any other parts?
Will I need any special tools other than a fuel gauge?
I am trying to arrange some help, but this is a big step for me.
Thanks a lot for the knowledge folks.
