Thom, There are many versions of cams through the years. I've advised people to simply have their own cam ground to the specs you want. There has been a lot of talk of changing over to an early D-jet cam by people on this board for years as that being the best. But in fact, all you really need is a good machine shop to grind it for you, and any stock cam can be ground to any improved version or made to out perform any factory cam ever made. It's up to you. All you need is to shim it afterwards. It can save you a lot of time and money going that way. You also know exactly what you are buying going that route. Best of luck.
