Hot start problem

I have a 1972 Saab 99 with a hot starting problem which has been getting worse. Until about a year ago the car would start just fine as long as the engine was cold. If the engine was turned off for 5 minutes or so it would not restart until engine cooled down somewhat. Now the engine has to be almost totally cooled off, meaning the guage barely registers any temperature. This is an older model so it does not have a lot of the stuff to check that has been listed in previous posts. I do not believe I have an auxillary air valve, warm-up regulator, cold start valve or a thermo-time switch. I tried adding starter fluid through the intake manifold with no results. The fuel pump seems to be running well. Never have a problem starting cold. When the car is running hot or cold the engine sounds good. Would there be any sort of electrical switch or circuit telling the car not to start? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
