Wiring to mirrors was added to '76 EMS - probably by me - bad memory and can't remember which car was which. '77 & '78 GLE's show the wiring in the diagrams. I don't find a specific '78 EMS diagram. The diagram in the '78 99 Turbo manual supplement does not show electric mirrors. I do think that I discovered that the '78 EMS had the same wiring as the turbo. If the wiring needs to be added - the wiring for the mirrors can be pulled from '77-78 GLE, '78 99T, '79-80 900T - for sure. It is a seperate 'harness', not integrated into the main harness - thus easy to pull. The 900's have slightly different switches - plate that fits dash is different - that will not fit into the 99 dash, tho the 'plug' into the switch is the same. The wires into the door and the round white connector to the mirror seem to be the same up thru all years of the c900.
