You're right. Either the fuel relay must be jumped or the engine cranked. I forgot to say that.
Walter,
I would send you a scan of the picture in my manual on which terminals to jump but the book is 200 miles away at my house (I'm in college). I can try and explain it....standing next to the car looking at the fuse box the terminals are the closest and farthest from you. They are perpendicular to each other. I cant remember which direction the pins run but they are perpendicular. That might not help much. I dont think my car's pins were numbered so the picture in the book is where I learned it. Make sure you try and run the pump directly from a car battery to prove it runs.
