I was prepping these beauties in the day, our dealer sold nearly forty of these as in Colorado and at altitude the performance was much improved. A/C was a dealer added accessory through 85 throughout the model range. Ie 1986 was the first year all saabs had A/C. Although the Turbo did start coming with A/C standard in 81. The 99 were not pre designed for a/c ie holes through thebulkhead were never factory cut in anticipation for A/c. we were paid 6.5 hours to install A/c on the starnard 99 and 8.5 on the Turbo due to the fansa and compressor brakets being very obscured and tight to work on. These cars through belts with great regularity, till the top brtaket incorporated the idler puley midway between the alt and the compressor. Yes we did head retorques and valve adjustments at the PDI and then again at the 1000 mile service. Don..
