replace the 3 o-rings and the pump should be leak free. I think I re-built one a few years ago and sourced the o-rings at a local hardware store. Tightening the bolts more than the required torque of 13 ft lbs can't be healthy for the threads in the block or the pump casting.
I'm pretty sure to pull the pump, it will be easier to remove the distributor first, as the shaft from it drives the oil pump. Just make an index mark of some sort where the rotor is pointing before pulling it out.
