It's quite simple, really. You can leave the MC hooked up and once you remove the two nuts holding it to the booster just gently pull it out of the way. You will have to unclip the lever that connects to the brake pedal there behind the booster, of course, and then remove the booster with bracket. I think it's easier that way. You remove most from under the dash.
You should be able to use any booster that will fit in that space. The later 900 boosters are probably not going to work but remember that many who put 16V in a 99 will use an early 99 booster as they are smaller. The hook up to 99 brake pedals the same way a 900 does.
Is this for the 16VT Mike had or a different one? I'm sure Mike bashed the daylights out of the booster to make it fit...what did you do?
