the pilot bearing is the same-the input shaft seal is not the same-unless you have a 1978 trans 4 speed in your 76 saab. the 78 on trans was a chain driven frt case. the 1976 was a gear driven frt case. the input seal no . or 1976 is 8710725- the no. for 1978 0n is 8710881.
