Thanks Kevin I read threw broadways site and it would be great but they won't do anything newer that a '74 right now, then they state that it can't be titled in my state which it is. See the problem with the title is that the previous owner is really hard to get a hold of and kinda dodges my calls when he is in town. I have a good bill of sale but the DMV says even though it is good I need more, 1.Get the title which he said he couldn't find. 2. Get him to sign two power of attorneys 3.Send the power of attorneys in a certified letter with a letter stating why I am doing it and If there is a problem to contact the DMV. Well I came to find out that #3 if it goes to his house and comes back unopened the I get a conditional title which mean that if in a certain time he just happen to decide that he wants it back he could just pay what I payed, and I didn't pay much. Or if he signs for the certified letter and doesn't respond I can get the same conditional title but the time that it is just a conditional title goes to I think a YEAR before swapping to a regular title. so as you can see this makes me really erie about putting a bunch of money into this car then having it taken away, remember the motor is bad.
I don't understand the "advantages" of the 99 interior. I have a 99 and a 900 that I currently drive, the 99's seat won't go as far back (I'm 6'1)and the heater controls I had to steal out of the '74 (the one that I want to do the swap in). And as far as I can tell the dash air flow pretty muck sucks in the 99's and in winter I need a really good heater, it gets cold up here. the '74 has bad brakes, shocks, rack, tranny, wheel bearings on one side, inner door parts, and the whole interior, the only good thing on this car is the body and the engine. I had almost forgot I also have a 79 900 parts car with a full dash sill in it also. As the work part of the deal goes, yes it's alot but the 99's are disapearing and it would be a shame to let it sit and rot.
