electronic ignition

I want to switch to an electronic 99 turbo ignition for my Saab 1974 99L (Delco). I am not good at electronics, so I was hoping someone could help me out.
I want to connect as follows:
NEW WIRING
- 2 black wires to the body
- 1 blue wire to the + on the ignition
- 1 green/white wire to the - of the ignition
- remaining thick blue wire: no connection (to electric fuel pump, but it's a carburator version)
EXISTING WIRING
- brown/white wire: no function any more
- black wire: comes from a sort of resistance, were 2 green/white wires are connected to
QUESTION
- should I keep this resistance and how should I connect it?
- how should I connect the green/white wire from the ignition amplifier?
- on how many degrees should I put the ignition? It's an automatic.
Thanks for helping me out,
Thom
