My first guess would be that there is crud in your gas tank. The pickup screen is possibly clogged and the car will run for a bit but then runs out of fuel. It sits for a bit, some of the crud falls, the car runs again...til the clog returns. That would be where i would look first. After that, you may have a coil problem? maybe it over heats and stops sending spark as it should. Wait a minute and the thing cools down enough to fire again? Something like that can be tested when the car won't start. Just check to see if you are getting spark when the thing won't start. (you might need two people for this but I just set the end of the coil wire or plug wire near some metal in view when in the car.)
