Yeah, cars don't make oil...especially when you are quite possibly burning someof it with "blue" smoke. Doug is giving the word on this one. Check your plugs and you'll see some clues. If you have gas in your oil, you have useless oil so draining a bit won't do you any good. Gas is a solvent-thins out the oil, and starts creating all sorts of damage. Why you would want to run the car up to 4000rpms with it acting this way is a bit beyond me but probably something I've done out of frustration as well. I would suggest you are starving the bearings of oil as you have thinned it out with the gas.
