The only thing that will give you more room would be turning the piston further into the caliper. Sometimes it seems you've gone as far as you can but you have to make sure the "yoke" is all the way out as well. The piston should be completely in the caliper. Don't worry about the rubber sleeve. It is not a seal, just a dust cover. Turn the piston until everything fits. There is not other way. If you just can't get it to go in, they you have a caliper issue, and not a fit issue anymore.
