If it was me, I'd re-use the minor pitted push rod, unless of course you have ready access to a replacement. As far as I remember, that piece is side specific, so a left side won't work on the right side.
Another valid point to note, is that the working length of that push rod is only about 1/8", as it doesn't take much movement to actuate the emergency brake. If the pitting is far enough away from the o-ring, then you'd most likely be safe to use it with no chance of brake fluid leakage.
