Got the alternator set and took measurements for the new belt I'll have to pick up. THAT's a pain to do. All the parts houses go slackjawed and dumb if you can't give them a car model to look up. I say, "it's a special application... I just want to find a belt that is "X" inches in circumferance. Blank stare. Okay, it's "X" inches around. "Oh, we can only find them by (auto) model."
This will continue to be fun... but I'll find one.
Meanwhile, I started to install the new radiator/fan combo. It JUST fits, with a screw on the back of the fan rubbing on the engine cover. Just enough where I know it's going to look bad fairly quickly and a sudden jolt might be worse. So I'll do a little radiator adjustment. But, the radiator I got from a 96 is not as wide as the 95. Which means that there was about a half inch between the brackets and the radiator on each side. And my impatience proved expensive. I managed to screw one of the bolts into the tube -- which I found out when I started to fill the radiator. And watched it all leak out near the bolt hole.
So the next step is to get that fixed. More later... :-(
