Maybe we're not talking about the same thing. I am talking about the spring tower, the major susp. mounting point for a front wheel drive car. Here in the NE, when the spring tower goes, the floor and side engine wall are crumbling rust. So, I guess you could replace the spring tower, engine compartment floor, etc, etc....ever been driving a 96 when the susp. tower lets go because of rust?
A rusty body panel, floor, rockers, are one thing, but when you are cutting and welding major susp. points in a monoframe vehicle, well, ALL rust can be fixed, but at what price? Keeping in mind that rust free 96 shells are being crushed daily out West. As nice as Gary's 96 is, I still haven't seen a 1967 Mod 96 V-4 sell for over $6000.00
