I don't really know all that much, I've just got a good memory for stuff I've read here -- plus the fact that I'm really inept at mechanical work, so what little experience I have includes making almost every possible mistake!!
The great thing about a stroker is that if the clutch IS bad, you and Trey can just hoik the drivetrain out and have at it -- coupla young, strong guys don't need no stinkin' engine hoist!
(When I was probably about your age I had a GT-850 with a sticky clutch, and my dad and I were able to pull the engine out by hand, no problem. Turned out the clutch itself was OK, just so crudded up with old friction material that it wasn't releasing smoothly... just cleaned it all off and it was fine.)
