So how hot is a coil supposed to get? I have a new Bosch blue coil in my 69 V4 that is getting very very hot--too hot to touch after a few minutes of running. I could probably iron a shirt with the thing!
I recently swapped out a stock black coil for this one--is there a chance I got the ballast resistor setup wrong (there isn't an external resistor on either setup). Also, after a few minutes, my tach gauge (not the engine) starts bumping up every few seconds. Are these 2 facts related?
