93B brake upgrade/update options ?

My 93B needs new wheel cylinders and I find that I can locate new front cylinders for types II and III front drum brakes, but not for the type I. I did locate new rear cylinders with the integral brake lever.
Any advice / recommmendations on updating to the type II or III front brakes? Any problems with balance front rear with type I rears? Are the type III any 'better' than the II?
I have access to parts to convert to both type II and III.
I do not want to convert to front discs.
Any thoughts, experience, new ideas ?
The car runs great just needs to be able to stop reliably.
