Warren:
Let me try this again with a name... If you're really interested in a two-stroke, let me know. I've owned a '66 Monte Carlo since (drum roll) 1971. As a matter of fact, I've driven it through Port Washington & Great Neck quite a bit. It's not for sale, but if you aren't familiar with them, they do take a bit of adapting to and tender care. I guarantee that if you buy one there will be times you're going to be in pure ecstacy and times you're going to hate it. That being said, it's one of my favorite cars to drive. My favorite story occurred one spring day when I stopped at a stop light. Standing at the corner were three attractive young girls whispering and giggling, finally one shouted out, "Sir, do you have any Grey Poupon?" It made my day and took just about 25 years to make my Saab a Rolls Royce. I garage the car in Middle Village Queens. So if you're really interested in the Iowa car and want a closer view or short test drive of the model, I would be willing to help you out. You can E-mail me at (rvcomm at aol.com). Note that the "at" symbol doesn't seemed to be recognized by this site so I typed it.
P.S. First, I would buy one any day of the week. Second, don't tell your wife or anyone else outside the Saab community what you're thinking about, because they'll send you to the Helen Keller Institute, down that Port Washington road, for being a blind man :)
All the best & Saab fun,
Robin
