My 96 has a trailer hitch

All dimensions approximate. The hitch does not look like one of the modern euro style phallic jobbers you'd get with a new Saab, it looks like a 60's piece. There are no tube supports running to any suspension points.
It is basically a 15" to 18" long, 3" wide, 1/2" thick plate with a hole for the shaft of the ball. It is attached to the car at four points.
Two bolts attach the plate to the underside of the floor of the trunk. They are about 4" apart and are arranged along the centerline of the plate.
There is a curved "C shaped" bracket attached to the top of the plate where it runs under the bumper, and the top of the "C" is attached to the underside of the rear bumper with two bolts.
I can take some pictures tomorrow, I don't know how I can post them, but I can take them if you want me to email them separately.
