What i'm writing applies to Saab 93, 96, sport, monte carlo, gran turismo and sonett:
All are front wheel drive. Brakes are all drums until 1967 when discs appeared in front (the "sportier" models got front discs already in '63).
Spring setup? The rear has a u-shaped live axle, fastened to the body in the middle, and it has a supporting arm at each end bolted to the floor under rear seat.
Front has two triangle shaped arms, the spring resting on the top one. Rack and pinion steering.
Sorry I'm not familiar with the Saab 92 axles. I know they have torsion springs but I've never been under one and seen how it all looks (although I did get the pleasure of helping lift the right front wheel of a 92B out of a big hole this wednesday at a vintage car meet in Trollhättan).
