Thanks for the tips guys. An alternative PVC valve from an auto parts store is plan B for sure. I have learned that making the linkage fit around the PVC is the most difficult part of installing the weber, and since I figured out a way to with the SAAB PVC, I thought I'd try for another "original equipment" valve. Also, I live deep in the mountains, and it's a 100 mile round-trip to the nearest auto parts store! But I shall over come one way or another. Thanks again.
