The pump is held on by two bolts, probably take a 13mm wrench. With those and the fuel lines removed, the pump will fall off in your hand, with a modest tap if the gasket is sticky. Then you can retrieve the pushrod that is driven by the camshaft and actuates the fuel pump. I think it has a flat and a roundy end so remember which goes where, and file it with your old fuel pump (if still viable) or a new mechanical one for emergencies (Personally I carry a spare electric pump, it's easier to change.) or wherever you keep your old parts.

Now you have a big hole in the side of the block through which oil will emerge. You may 1) put the old fuel pump back on with a new gasket or a little sealant, without the pushrod; 2) Take the old fuel pump to a competent parts house (a performance supplier may be better equipped here) and seek a blanking plate to cover the hole; 3) Make your own blanking plate if you have metal cutting and drilling capabilities, a Sabre Saw with the right blade can do the cutting, you need 3/16" or 1/4" steel or aluminum and a new gasket readily available from any parts house, not by parts listing because that may be obsolete, but by pattern from the old fuel pump in hand.
