As a general rule for vintage Saabs, engine rebuild parts (rings, bearings, etc.) along with suspension parts (tie rod ends, etc.) are available from multiple sources and can be bought at reasonable prices if you shop around. Obviously you will pay more for parts from someone who specializes in vintage Saab parts but you generally get support in terms of how-to information and easier access for hard to find items. If you want the support you should expect to pay for it.
For gearboxes (the weak part of this car) only a handful of people can rebuild it or supply parts for it. A typical gearbox rebuild costs between $1200 and $1800. For body and trim parts, about the only place to find them is either as NOS someone has found and is selling or as used parts either from a parts car or being sold on an auction site. One or two people have reproduced a few parts such as emblems and floor mats but for most you either have to find it used.
