Clutch not working after a while. Posted by BAAB [Email] (#1214) [Profile/Gallery] (more from BAAB) on Sat, 13 Dec 2008 11:02:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
When my '72 96 V4 is cold, I can put the clutch in and it goes into 1st without a problem, but as I'm driving my car for a while (maybe 45 minutes or more) I start having problems shifting into 1st from a stop. It get's so bad that it will simply not go into 1st at all without a pretty good grinding. I've been having to turn the car off, put it into first, and then start the car. As you could imagine-VERY ANNOYING! The free movement is properly adjusted. I replaced the clutch slave cylinder. The clutch disc seems good(isn't slipping). Should I replace the clutch master cylinder? Is there something else it could be? Thanks so much!
