Back my day I had a 1884 one cylinder three stroke ,it had a cotton pickin'steam engine, with a tendency to blow up, but my local saab dealer has black smith shop, the smithery became best friends with my little saab. The wheels were made of wood and were carved by a man named James Kasunhight. He was in the swedish army and he was part. Of the "hattmakare"division and he was in charge of sewing on flaps on the hats. Thus why we find many army hats missing flaps. He was drunkard and he had known act of running off with the young girls who were in the hat factory with him. By end of 1895 Saab found that they needed some to make the interiors. James was at the time working now for a man, building steam engines for a man in his living room. One day 1898 a man from Saab came to James and asked him if he could make interiors, James said,Well i sure can try" So off James went off to Saab,James worked at Saab and so developed the optional gun mounts and this was not a great seller.
The little Saab is now in james' shop and the steam engine is spread about the shop and will never be put back together. So i will have to wait to race it in the next monte carlo rally, and will know that it will be fine in the ditch and in the road, It will most likely put it on the roof and as the later russian rally driver, it been "Carlssoned".
~ Well thats all for now, back to the shop to work on our Saab Quantum
