Hi Gary,
I'm sure there are differences of experience/opinion out there. From what I've gathered over the years, the differences tend to be in hte two main jets.
The "standard" number I find for jets in a stock 1700 is a 135 in the primary and a 140 in the secondary. The "standard" number I also find for a modified engine such as yours is a 145 primary and a 150 secondary jet.
I honestly don't know what I have in my Sonett. One of these days I may pull the cover and see what's in there.
