I guess the first thing is does it squirt gas when you work the linkage. If yes this means there is gas in carb and the accelerator pump is working.
The intermediate jet (screwed into the driver side of the carb) can be plugged with a coating of scum even though you can blow thru it. A torch tip cleaning wire or any copper wire just too large to fit in the end hole will clean it. This jet affects everything except full throttle, won't idle, won't accelerate. I had forgotten about this and almost pulled out what little hair I have left 5 or 6 years ago when getting my 69 Sonett running again. A quick & dirty check on this is to unscrew the jet 1/4 to 1/2 turn, this lets fuel bypass the jet. If it runs or is better this is the problem.
If this is not the problem I would check for vacuum, perhaps valves set wrong? or leak in intake gasket, they have to be installed correctly and snugged down carefully.
Good luck, RGS
