I'm running a '73 96 v4 and the car has recently been cutting out when I accelerate fairly hard. It is acting like it is being starved of fuel. When this happens the car will die, but will start up after pumping the pedal a couple of times, but it takes a long time to get the fuel pressure back to where it will idle. It has the stock fomoco on it. Is the fomoco worth messing with, or should I install a weber? I also installed an electric fuel pump. When the car is running right, it is very peppy. I appreciate any helpful ideas you might have for me. Thanks!
