I was blessed to find a brand new windshield for sale at SOC 41 and the seller, Joel Schwartz also orded me a new seal from across the pond. I would love to hear from others who have undertaken a replacement on a 96 (mine is a 69). For example, what is the best way to remove the existing glass and seal - does the aluminum lock strip need to come out first? Should the lock strip be replaced before the new windshield is installed or after it is in place? When using the 1/4" cord to pull the seal into the window flange should it be pulled from the top first or the bottom?

Al Smith's article in the Spring 2020 Vintage Views was helpful but lacked some of these details.
