Put 70k on a b motor to 8v turbo swap Posted by gregg [Email] (#677) [Profile/Gallery] (more from gregg) on Thu, 11 Jan 2001 16:54:18 In Reply to: Turbo B install in Non - turbo?, Rhett, Wed, 10 Jan 2001 22:59:30 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I put a b motor turbo in my 80 99 notch. I drove it for four years and 70 k miles without a problem. I would still be driving it if the car had not been totaled. You will need to change the exhaust, fuel pressure, ecu, and crankcase vent hose to accomplish the switch. I am assuming that you have a complete turbo engine with manifolds and plumbing. I suggest you move the battery to the trunk as well. It is pretty straightforward and has been done many times. Email me for more specific questions; gcronn@bham.wednet.edu
