Don't cut the spring man...

Cutting the spring will ruin the spring 'rate' [and may be illegal where you are]. It's not even a good look for backyard lowrider mechanics! SPG/16S/Aero springs will have a different rate. Used springs aren't a great idea, they could be saggy. You can get lower spring sets off-the-shelf: Jamex are about the best value, you get 40mm drop in front and 30 to 35 in back. Ask for Jamex 910s if you're doing a turbo as they are designed slightly stiffer for the marginally more weight in the front of the 99 Turbo. If you have trouble sourcing them I can give you the name of somewhere in England that will have them.
