I don't know what 'ideal' would be or even if there is such a thing. The compression ratio is low, 7.2 to 1 I think, so the compression will be in the 120 -130 range I believe. The rule of thumb I learned 30 years ago was that range of 10% was good, 5% or less great. The most important thing in reading compression is the range of values. You won't find an engine very often in which all the cylinders are low and within 10%. When the things that reduce compression begin to happen you will usually find one very low cylinder - 50-60%, one 75-80 % and two close to 100%.
