8valve b-block Ignition Timing

I'm curious, all you 99 and b-block owners, where do you set the timing on your engines? The book says 20BTC at 2k with vacume plugged. My street car (completely stock)runs 93octane and I have no know setting at 22btc. The rally car runs no vac advance and is about 25btc. All my tests are seat of the pants, so I have no data, but I'm wondering if someone has found any real benefit to going much past that...
Thanks!
