Justin's suggestion is very wise, have a specialist look at it. Chances are your main dealer's mechanics will never have seen a 99 turbo though.
I think, and it's only a 'think' not a 'know', that any car either sold in or imported to Australia since the early '70s will have the mountings somewhere, even if they're well hidden. On the 3 door they may be in the boot floor just behind the rear seat, possibly under the fuzzy floor covering panel and yu might need to put holes in that. On our '75 2 door EMS they are under blanking panels in the rear fixed shelf. The '73 99 we brought out from the UK had to have them fitted to be allowed on the roads. Ruined a pefectly good rear shelf too...
My personal opinion is that the Australian Regulations on harness restraint baby seats is outdated, dogmatic and absurd. Some of the baby seats sold by Saab themselves in the rest of the world are illegal out here... even the Saab SafeSeat. You'd think Saab who have been concerned with safety for so long would have a pretty good idea how to do it right by now.
Anyway, you don't want to hear that... you want to fit a seat to keep your child safe in your Saab. Don't panic, you'll get it sorted.
