Inwo, I stripped out a '78 a few years back. It hadn't been started for many years as well, and I wanted to get it running to check out all the components before I stripped it. Doug's advice on the gas is the first place to start. Forget about it not starting, with that old gas, you don't want it to turn over. I gave that same advice to a friend who had old gas in a car, he didn't drain the gas, and ended up bending 4 valves and breaking two rocker arms because the valve guides gummed up. On the '78 nothing worked...I got a can of electrical contact cleaner and cleaned every contact, including relays, fuses, and grounds. I followed with conductive grease after cleaning. Don't forget the alternator connections. It won't start with bad connections there. It only took tweny minutes or so, and it started right up and all components worked fine. All the injector hoses looked good, but leaked gas from years of drying out. You should replace them. Best of luck.
