If I would be willingly to do a parts swap, logic would dictate to upgrade to vented rotors up front, better calipers all round. As far as springs go I have found a couple of co. that carry 30mm lowering for this year, but I guess there was some geometry changes in '75 that make a '74 difficult to find stuff for. Anybody done this type of swap of before? Am I getting in over my head?! I have done this kind of thing on modern VWs, it seems Saabs lend themselves to these kind of mods also, I don't know.
