As you said "If I [you] think it's worth it"!
Did you investigate any that might be around where you're moving to?
The trick is really for you to be happy with it and be sure you'll hang onto it.
Personally my view is that you're still shipping in the one country so it's just a case of strapping it to a trailer or onto a truck and going! Having shipped 2 Saabs from England to Australia, with all the associated shipping, customs and quarantine costs and hassles, I think your dilemma is a lot easier! :)
Enjoy it, I say, don't torture yourself! If the car was really rusty then you'd be better off finding another one, if it isn't then get stuck-in!
I was looking at an old book (Osprey/Motorbooks Saab 99 & 900 Turbo from 1983) last night with lists of numbers of 99 Turbos and where they went to in the world, it looks like somewhere in the region of 6,000 went to the USA, so judge the rarity on that AND how many you.ve seen in your town or city in the last month. In terms of rarity, compare this: there were 11 official imports of 99 Turbos to Australia, with a few more personal ones we think. I live on the East Coast and there's one for sale in Perth in the West... any suggestions? :)
