It would require extensive rework of the engine mounting system, both on the engine and in the chassis. The car is narrower than the 99/C900, so the 900 front suspension would be a major chore. Go to the link below and read about "The Toad", the widened 96 that SAAB used to disguise their development of the 99 suspension and engine/transmission unit.
