Prior to '70 the Sonett came with steel wheels. I'm not sure which years got 4" and which got 4-1/2", but they were basically the same as the 95/96. The 4-1/2" were Sonett only, never standard on the sedan and wagon, unless they were after those models were no longer imported to the USA. In '70 the Sonett III came either with the steel wheels or the alloys that look sort of like Ferarri wheels. From '71 the Sonett III came with the soccerball style wheels. All of these were painted black in the appropriate places. None of these came from the factory unpainted, although you will find unpainted ones today. There is a Ronal Minilite style wheel that is the only aftermarket wheel that I've ever seen with the correct five hole bolt circle for the 95/96/97. It's an odd bolt pattern that is exclusive to SAAB and there are no aftermarket wheels made for other cars that can be fitted.
