A close call with my 99 air intake deflector

The other day my intake deflector almost flew off while driving. As you may know they are just pushed into place with three tension clips. Two of them worked loose and I got it in time. If I was driving fast at the time, I may have got a scratched winshield, maybe some paint damage, and most certainly a ruined deflector. I think I've found an easy solution to prevent this from happening again, and I'm passing it along. On the center clip, the slotted air intake grill runs right below the center bracket. I installed some wire ties looping them together. I also removed the fresh paint off the three pins, that I think made them slick enough to pop out. I'll do the same on my other 99 before I drive it.There's actually enough room on the two side pins to thread them and install it with a nut, but I think just the wire ties will be fine.
